Light-blue invokes a vibe of tranquility and an overall softening effect. To achieve these effects you can use any version of light blue colors: baby blue, powder blue, and angel blue.
The study provides other insight into other paint colors that have both a positive and negative impact on sale prices. Home exterior’s paint color adding sale value was ‘greige.’ Homes typically sold for $3,496 more with this exterior color. Front-doors painted in Navy Blue or Slate Gray increased sale value on the average of $1,514.
Interestingly, it wasn’t painted colors that put-off buyers, it was more style-specific features that did. For example, terracotta walls cost a dip of $2,031 from sale prices. However, this was the shocker…..white walls, or to put it bluntly, homes that had no colored rooms sold at an average of $4,035 less!
